Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. About TradieSync

TradieSync is an online platform that connects homeowners with independent tradespeople in New Zealand. We are not a trade or contracting business. We do not perform any work ourselves, and we do not employ the tradies listed on our platform.

By using TradieSync you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, or that you have the consent of a parent or guardian.

2. Independent Tradies

All tradies on TradieSync are independent contractors. They are solely responsible for the quality, safety, and outcome of any work they perform. TradieSync has no control over how tradies carry out their work, their pricing, or their availability.

3. No Guarantee of Quality or Outcomes

TradieSync does not guarantee the quality, suitability, or outcome of any work performed by a tradie found through our platform. We make no warranties about the accuracy of tradie profiles or listings.

Any agreement, contract, or arrangement entered into between a customer and a tradie is entirely between those two parties. TradieSync is not a party to that agreement.

4. Licence Information

Tradies may submit their licence and certification details when setting up their profile. TradieSync displays this information as provided by the tradie and does not independently verify or guarantee the accuracy, currency, or validity of any licence details submitted.

Customers are solely responsible for verifying that a tradie holds the appropriate licences, qualifications, and insurance required for their specific job before any work begins. This includes:

  • Confirming trade licences directly with the relevant licensing body (e.g. Electrical Workers Registration Board, Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board, Licensed Building Practitioners)
  • Confirming the tradie holds relevant public liability and/or professional indemnity insurance
  • Agreeing on scope, pricing, and timeframes in writing before work starts

TradieSync recommends always getting a written quote before committing to any work.

5. Tradie Subscriptions and Credits

Tradies access job leads by purchasing credits or subscribing to a paid plan. By subscribing you agree to the following:

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal in your dashboard — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Credits are consumed when you unlock a job lead. Credits do not expire while your account remains active.
  • Refunds — credits that have been used to unlock a lead are non-refundable. Unused credits and subscription fees may be refunded at TradieSync's discretion if requested within 7 days of purchase. To request a refund, contact support@tradiesync.co.nz.
  • Prices are in New Zealand dollars and are inclusive of any applicable taxes.

6. Account Conduct

Users must provide accurate information when registering or posting jobs. TradieSync reserves the right to suspend or permanently remove any account that:

  • Provides false or misleading information
  • Engages in fraudulent or abusive behaviour
  • Misuses the platform in a way that harms other users
  • Violates any applicable law or regulation

7. Automated Processing and AI

TradieSync uses AI-assisted tools to process job requests submitted through our chat interface. Messages you send may be processed by third-party AI services to identify job details and generate responses. By using the chat feature you consent to this processing. No automated decisions with legal or significant effects are made solely by AI — a human review process applies to account and licence decisions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, TradieSync is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or dispute arising from the use of this platform or from work carried out by a tradie found through TradieSync. This includes but is not limited to loss of income, property damage, or personal injury.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot be excluded by agreement.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from your use of TradieSync will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of TradieSync after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. We will notify registered tradies of material changes by email.

11. Contact

If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us at support@tradiesync.co.nz.
